How I Got Started…
At a younger age, I was always slim. Once I hit my 30’s, I found myself gaining weight. So, I began working out to regain my former slim shape. One day, a trainer came up to me and said, “I run a strength training class. Come join us some time”. I was hesitant. The idea of lifting weights never appealed to me . . . but I went for it. As I committed myself to the class training, I noticed the inches started coming off me. Not only that, but my muscle definition became apparent, and I found a new me that I loved. As time passed, there were a couple of days when the trainer wasn’t able to make it to class, and I found myself being the volunteer substitute instructing the class. My trainer and class members began complimenting me more and more on how well I was instructing the class, and eventually my trainer suggested I become a trainer too. The idea of becoming a personal trainer never crossed my mind, but I went for it because I fell in love with fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. My trainer mentored me through the process, I got certified, and here we are today!
